New Zealand Botanicals - Herbs: nature's healer in a plant

nzbotanicalsWhen we first think of herbs, we tend to think of those used to give aroma and flavour to foods we eat.

In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, major universities planted herb gardens and led research into the medicinal properties of herbs. Many of the herbs were indeed found to have the medicinal effects attributed to them over the centuries. After it was found the chemical constituents of the herbs could be synthesised, the use of the natural herbs receded into the background.

Today many healers and people in general have returned to the use of herbs. It is not just because of the inherent properties of herbs but also the unease at customary medical practice, which often fails to take a holistic view of the person or animal.

New Zealand Botanicals of Katikati (New Zealand) are the manufacturers behind the very successful Equine Herbals brand. We also produce FourFoot Herbals for Cats and Dogs, Animals Herbals for Cows, Goats and Sheep and of course their brand New Zealand Botanicals dried herbs and extracts for herbalists.

New Zealand Botanicals is dedicated to producing the best and most cost-effective range of Herbal products for animals. Qualified herbalists with a long history of animal husbandry have developed these ranges. All processing and extraction of the herbs is carried out in purpose built production facilities in Katikati (New Zealand) and all extracts are produced to human quality. You could quite safely take any of our animal formulas yourself.

Proven techniques of production are employed, including multi-stage cold percolation. Identity preservation techniques ensure that quality is maintained through all stages and all products are free of any genetically modified material.

Since launching these herbal ranges New Zealand Botanicals have gained a reputation for producing top quality and efficacious herbal extracts and formulations.

Our Philosophy

Manufacturing Standards

To produce the highest quality products you need not only the highest quality raw materials, but also the facilities, equipment and knowledge.

Our manufacturing facility has been built to GMP standards (Good Manufacturing Practice) and we follow identity preservation protocols.

To maximize the potency of finished extracts we minimise the loss of heat-sensitive components, through the use of maceration and cold percolation manufacturing techniques.

Because we manufacture to the highest possible standards our customers can rely on consistent and high quality products.
